I am fascinated by the challenge of capturing the subtleties of rose. It's floral but woody. It's spicy but green. It is these contradictions that have fascinated perfumers for over a thousand years. And all of the Rose's contradictions are captured in this bar ... but wait, there's so much more.
Listing is for one thick hand cut bar of soap packaged and shrink-wrapped. Due to the nature of our handmade products, variations in size, color, scent, and/or form are expected - each soap is unique.
Unrefined shea butter, babassu palm oil, virgin coconut oil, Rice bran oil, cocoa butter, castor oil.
All DayBreak soaps are handcrafted from scratch in small quantities using traditional cold process methods. Our unique and luxurious formula starts with a large portion of skin-loving olive oil or virgin coconut oil and more -- all chosen for their lathering and cleansing properties. You will see some bars with rice bran oil for silky smooth skin, and lavish amounts of Ghanaian shea, cocoa, mango, and even aloe butters for their skin conditioning and therapeutic qualities. Some bars are formulated with goatsmilk. The result? A lush, creamy lather that gently cleanses and nourishes, leaving skin soft and silky.
This bar is incredibly moisturizing with over 33% shea and 25% Extra Virgin Olive oil. And it's no slouch when it comes to cleansing ... that Babassu oil adds great cleansing properties.
Our Old Fashioned Rose Bouquet fragrance is an old-fashioned secret but I'll tell you this ... it's subtle and gentle and soft and oh so, well, old-fashioned! Think big ferns in a dark, over-upholstered Victorian parlor!! It's that kinda rose!!
Excellent shower bar. Mild, gentle and non-comedogenic.
Contains skin-loving Olive Oil which gently moisturizes. Never any harsh detergents, additives or chemicals that might dry or irritate the skin. Rinses off quickly and cleanly.
Handmade Soap Care: Feel free to cut your bars into chunks. They will keep forever. Store in dark, airy spot like a linen closet or lingerie drawer. Do not store in Ziploc or any kind of baggie or air tight container. Soap breathes! To help your handmade soap last as long as possible, keep in a well-drained soap dish and allow to dry between uses. If left standing in water or in a direct stream of water, the lifespan of the bar will be shortened.

The scent of my bar isn't as "rosy" as I expected, but it's definitely old fashioned as Jody described. Old fashioned in an elegant way, like something a turn-of-century lady would have unpacked from her steamer trunk while vacationing at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. Not only would she have smelled lovely, but her soft arms and shoulders would have been the envy of all in the dining room.
