| A Therapeutic Gift Collection For Friends Who Hurt
When friends hurt we need to do something to make it better. Whether it's a rigorous round of chemo treatments, a surgery, a medical or family crisis or grieving a loss, we feel an urgent need to send an expression of our love.
Using the power of AromaTherapy, this is a Gift Collection for anyone of any age at any time for any reason. We just sent one to a teenager hospitalized for bulimia. Her therapist thought aromatherapy was a great self-soothing strategy for her to learn to help combat her disease. Another to gentleman undergoing radiation. Where there is hurt ... let there be Loving Comfort!
Loving Comfort will brighten spirits, allay anxiety and provide a moment of two of beauty. Loving Comfortis mini-spa that is perfect for any setting ... even bedside use. In the most difficult of circumstances, your friend can enjoy a spa sponge bath experience, breathe in the beauty of pure Essential Oils and benefit from their power. And it restores a measure of beauty, control and pleasure to what might be a difficult day.
I recommend the scents of Rose, Sandalwood and Lavender, in that order, as most calming and gentlest on the skin. However, if someone prefers a particular scent (for example, I would pick Sandalwood over Rose), their scent preference will work best for them because they'll use it more. It will be most therapeutic and instantly relaxing for them, making strides down the sometimes rocky road to recovery. Loving Comfort includes:
- Vodka Splash with Pure Essential OIls ... For body, linens or to brighten an entire room.
- Body Silk ... All-over body moisturizer.
- AromaSoap ... The scent blooms in the room!!
- StressMelt with Pure Essential Oils ... Transforms water into a spa elixir!
- Loving Comfort arrives beautifully packaged in a wonderful Country French Galvanized Tin Tub that has a million uses.
- Special Option ... AromaTherapy Mini-Kit ... AromaTherapy is a powerful palliative ... whether the pain is physical or emotional. Pain is pain. The Rose or Sandalwood calms. The Fresh Lavender balances and the Peppermint energizes. Each .33 oz. bottle contain 120 drops or enough for 40 inhaling sessions lasting 30 minutes.
1.Calmative / The choice here is Rose OR Sandalwood ... not both. Rose is the most potent calming essential oil. Nearly as calming is Sandalwood, a good choice for men and ladies (like me) who just love this magical oil!!
2.Restorative/ Lavender ... Balancing, uplifting.
3. Regenerative / Peppermint ... Energizing, strengthening.
4. 40 Cotton Squares (100% Cotton) ... just three drops will last about an hour.
Folks enjoy the oils so much that often they want to apply them to their skin, so we've diluted these oils in Organic Jojoba Oil, a plant oil gentle enough even for skin exposed to radiation treatments.
To give you and idea of the relief essential oils can bring, the letter that follows is how one Private Duty Nurse worked with our Fresh Lavender Vodka Splash to calm a terminally ill patient, please read this wonderful story. It will bring tears to your eyes. Incidentally, if you work with a Hospice organization or private duty nursing group, just email me (soapplease1@aol.com) for details of DayBreak's Hospice Outreach Program.
"I was with a patient who was actively dying. She was suffering...was breathing very fast..and was very restless. She was also very warm with a fever. Her face was flushed and showed a grimace of pain. I tried to get in touch with her doctor so I could increase her morphine dose. His office was closed for one hour.
"In the mean time, there I was....alone with this poor suffering woman. After I called the family in, I decided to give her an old fashioned tepid sponge bath - maybe that would make her feel better, perhaps break her fever. I thought about looking for some rubbing alcohol to put in the water...then remembered that I had a bottle of your lavender vodka splash in my bag. I put a good amount of it in the water.
"I used this to sponge her....very gently...all over...and let it air dry to cool her body. I turned her and changed her bed linen...and sprayed some lavender splash on her gown and linens.
"During this, I had some calm music playing...and spoke to her of the wonderful fragrance we were enjoying.
"Within 30 minutes...after I was finished, she was resting very calmly, her facial muscles were totally relaxed. A nurse walked in the room and was astonished. She could not believe how comfortable the woman was. Her breathing was restful, she was no longer restless, and her body temperature was lower. (Not to mention the room was filled with the wonderful fragrance of lavender!)
"I called my boss in Columbus from my patient's room, I was so happy that this aroma therapy had worked so well!"
