| BULGARIAN ROSE HYDROSOL |
This lovely hydrosol is made from Madame Hardy, Heritage, Graham Thomas, Apothecary’s Rose, Zephirine Drouhin, and others. It has a light, rose scent and is excellent for any skin type. It can be used directly on the skin or hair or as part of a masque.
Hydrosols or distillates are the product of the distillation of aromatic plant material. Usually the material is being distilled to produce an essential oil, in those cases there are two products the essential oil and the aromatic distillation waters or hydrosols. Some plants are processed only for the hydrosol, the two most famous are Rose Hydrosol – classically known as Rose Water -- and Hamamelis virginiana or Witch Hazel. Distillation produces hundreds of gallons of hydrosol and usually only a few gallons -- or less -- of essential oil.

Anti-inflammatory, calming, soothing to all skin types. Chamomile exists in many folk remedies as well. One example is that the Egyptians dedicated chamomile to their sun god and valued it over all other herbs for its healing qualities. When applied externally as a wash or compress, it can treat skin inflammations, sunburn, burns, and can also be added to baths for relaxing tired, achy muscles and feet, and softening the skin.
